We ( Innovation Angels) are organizing the next pitch on Oct 10th, 2012, Wednesday. Similar to the earlier pitches this is a closed networking event and only about 6/7 startup teams would be selected for the session.

We have seen phenomenal responses to our earlier events. These events have helped a few interesting startups to get good advice/ suggestions which has helped them to a great extent.

In fact we have been getting requests to hold more of these events more frequently/ regularly.

The startups who will pitch in these events will get access to a great many Angels/ early stage VC’s who will be present for  evaluating them.

Every event of our’s has seen a bigger audience ( more investors looking for potential investments )

Hence all interested Entrepreneurs/ Startups/ Teams can please get in touch.

We are organizing the next pitch ( 4th ) on June 2nd, Saturday. Similar to the earlier pitches this is a closed networking event and only about 5/6 startup teams would be selected for the session.

Hence all interested Entrepreneurs/ Startups/ Teams can get in touch.

Happy New Year 2012 to everyone.

In continuation of my previous post we are organizing a second ( 2nd ) pitch on January 9th 2012, Monday and the time is 3 pm . This is a closed networking event and only 5/6 startup teams would be selected for the session.

The next pitching session after this Jan event is going to be early March ( probably 1st week of Mar ).

Hence all interested Entrepreneurs/ Startups/ Teams can get in touch.

I intend doing Office Hours every week starting next week ( Nov week of 25th ’11 ) onwards. I have been doing it in an informal & Ad-hoc manner until now. However I would like to start doing it in a more formal manner going forward.

Any Entrepreneur or an Startup can touch base with me on any aspect of their business. They can schedule a call/ meet with me in person to talk on any aspect about their ideas/ BPs.

The proposed office hours will be held usually between 11am – 4pm every Friday.

Look forward to interacting with promising startups/ teams with innovative ideas.

Its been sometime since I last posted. Excuse me for the same. Hopefully from now I plan to engage my readers regularly.

I had recently been to what the organizers call as ” The Biggest Showcase of CleanTech Cos in India “. It was held in Hyderabad. I was really surprised by the sheer number of companies which had participated.

They were some good teams which showcased their ideas. Its really good to see so many of them competing/ participating from all over India. The objective was to pitch their plans to prospective investors.

They were some 25 companies which had participated. The event was organized by TiE Hyderabad in association with ISB & New Ventures India.

At this rate very soon we will see some good companies emerge out of India in the CleanTech area.

I also happened to visit ICRISAT in Hyderabad and was very happy to see their huge campus which is extremely well maintained.

All in all I really look forward to a Great Entrepreneurial New Year ahead.

Here’s Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas & a Very Prosperous New Year 2010.

I was present at the demo day for the 1st batch of 10 companies graduating from the iAccelerator program y’day on Aug 29th.  I was impressed by the quality of the teams & their ideas. I thought that they were really very good.

Hats off to both CIIE & Upstart.in for pulling it off.

They were a lot of positives and obviously since they were doing it for the 1st time this will surely act as a learning as well. The companies can be made to think more holistically (The Big picture thinking), they can create the Mentors team or Advisory team, create board of Directors , create market traction, focus on Sales & Marketing, etc.,

Out of the 8 cos that was showcased couple of them are interesting and could go the whole distance and become great companies to watch for in the near future. They need to execute their plans & strategies well.

Overall it was a good beginning for iAccelerator and hopefully with time they (the cos/ the output) will get better and better.
